By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank OJSCwill publicly reveal information regarding issuing the mobile e-signature, within next 10 days, the bank told Trend on May 16.

The sale of mobile e-signature has not been yet launched in bank branches, the bank said.

The product presentation was held on May 7 together with the Information and Computing Center of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

The advantage of the project is the optimization of the bank's services offered to clients and simplification of the current procedures. In addition, the certification of documents in electronic form will allow the bank to reduce the use of paper. Archiving of documents will be carried out automatically after they are certified by e-signature.

The fact that the processing customer requests will be accelerated, and the possibilities of digital banking will be expanded, will also be an important aspect for the bank.

The clients will be able to obtain the certificate of the mobile e-signature by applying to the branches of Kapital Bank. After the certificate is issued, the mobile number specified by the client will receive an SMS message with a PIN code, which will be active for the next three years. An important component of the mobile e-signature certificate is that it is not bound to operators’ SIM-cards.

As for the cost of the e-signature, information about this will also be provided within the next 10 days.

According to the current tariffs of the Information and Computing Center (ICC), the cost of the e-signature with a three-year period is 18 manats for Azerbaijani citizens. As for individuals and legal entities that carry out entrepreneurial activity, the cost of e-signature is 36 and 72 manats, respectively, and for employees of state institutions - 58 manats.

E-signature simplifies citizens' access to e-services of the state institutions, which are available on e-gov.az.

(1.7 manats = 1 USD on May 16)
