The Ministry of Innovation Development of Uzbekistan has published for discussion a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the "Smart City" Concept, the Infocom.uz portal reported.
The purpose of the Concept is to identify main directions of projects for the creation of modern production, engineering and communication infrastructures in the regions by introducing innovative "Smart City" technologies, aimed at improving living standards and ensuring that economic, social, environmental and cultural needs of the current and future generations of the population of Uzbekistan are met.
The main directions of the introduction of innovative "Smart City" technologies are "Smart Transport" (intelligent transport system), "E-Militia", security subsystem, e-education, e-health, smart energy, water supply, water disposal and housing and communal services.
