Complete reconstruction of the cable and sewerage infrastructure of Baku will take at least one more year to be finished, Trend reports referring to a source at Baku Telephone Communications LLC.
The source noted that reconstruction is continuing, and some work is planned to be completed by the end of 2018.
"Full completion is expected in October 2019. However, it does not mean that providers of internet services will experience difficulties," the source said.
The reconstruction provides for decommissioning of the cable lines that do not meet requirements.
The company's plans for 2019 include expanding the coverage of broadband services based on GPON and LTE, as well as the development of the IPTV services.
