In 2018, 89 websites were subjected to hacker attacks in the .az domain zone, CYBERO Cyber Security Center told Trend Dec. 29.
CYBERO noted that the analysis of the attacked web-resources showed that the security encoding on 25 sites was done incorrectly, and on 54 websites servers were incorrectly configured.
"Moreover, 12 sites were attacked for the second time. However, despite this, no measures were taken to address the vulnerabilities. Attacked sites are hosted on servers in Azerbaijan, the US, Germany, Russia and Turkey. Considering that about 70 percent of the attacks were carried out due to server vulnerabilities, we strongly recommend companies to be careful when using shared hosting service," CYBERO added.
