By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:
The rebranding of Azerbaijani mobile operator Azercell is expected to take place in 2H2019, the company told Trend.
A full rebranding envisages changing logo and concept, on which the company is currently working jointly with its new founders.
As earlier reported, the new concept of the operator will much better reflect the current trends in mobile technologies, the experience of the company itself and the traditions of Azerbaijan.
Fintur Holdings B.V., owned jointly by Telia and Turkcell, agreed to sell its 51.3 percent stake in Azertel - the only shareholder of Azercell - to the state-owned Azintelecom.
Azercell Telecom LLC was founded in 1996. The company's share in Azerbaijan's mobile market is 48 percent. Azercell's network covers 80 percent of the country's territory and 99.8 percent of its population. Presently, 4.5 million subscribers use Azercell's services.
