National Bank of Kazakhstan talks future measures of economy digitalization (Exclusive)

The work on digitalization of the financial sector of economy of Kazakhstan is to be continued, The National Bank of Kazakhstan told Trend.

“The process of digitalization in Kazakhstan covers all spheres of economy including its financial sector,” the spokesperson for the bank said.

Within the framework of Digital Kazakhstan program realization great results have been achieved. However, the spokesperson stated, that notwithstanding these positive changes, there is still 'enough room for improvement'

“Thus, the work on development of new payment service to provide fast transactions by using phone all across the country will be continued,” the source in the bank added.

Furthermore, according to the information provided, the development of mechanism of digital identification of clients in the financial sector and the switch to paperless form of financial and state services will also be continued.

“Additionally the creation of other necessary infrastructure for development of digital services in the country is planned,” the source added.

“Corresponding use of digital technologies is important for improving or creating business processes. Only in this case the digitalization will allow to decrease the cost, improve the services quality and to increase the competitiveness on the market,” the source concluded.

Government program “Digital Kazakhstan” is a significant complex program, aiming at the elevation of living standards of each country’s resident, using digital techniques.

The major goals of the Program have accelerated economic growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan and have upgraded the living standards, as well as have created conditions for transition on a fundamentally new pathway – future digital economy.
