Azerbaijan increases satellite services export

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 29

The revenues of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $1.8 million in Jan. 2020, which is 64 percent more compared to Jan. 2019, the Export Preview of country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications said, Trend reports.

The value of export of satellite services provided to 15 countries amounted to $1.1 million in Jan. 2019.

In Jan. 2020, Revenues of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to 79 percent of company’s total revenues.

These services were provided to 20 countries, including the UK, France, UAE, Germany and Georgia.

Azercosmos operates two communications satellites - Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2, and the low-orbit satellite Azersky.

Azercosmos, the first and only satellite operator in the South Caucasus, renders high-quality satellite services for telecommunications and exploration.
