The next area that will arouse investor interest will be the Georgian IT sector, said Mikhail Khidureli, head of Produce in Georgia agency, Trend reports via Georgian media.
He made the remark regarding a recent state-sponsored program that allows international IT service companies from Georgia to have income and income taxes of just 5 percent.
According to Khidureli, the interest in the new program is quite high, as it was many years ago in the outsourcing of business services, which today is one of the fastest-growing areas.
“We have planned many meetings with the Agency for Innovations and Technologies with Belarusian, Ukrainian, and Polish IT companies. The interest is enormous," he said.
As he noted, the American EPAM company based in Belarus has come to Georgia and it will be the first flagship.
