Nearly 63 percent of the entire internet traffic accounted for people in 2020, Trend reports citing a report from Austrian IT Softprom company.
The share of human traffic increased by 1.1 percent last year.
Bad bots (collecting data from sites without permission to reuse them) accounted for 24.1 percent of the entire traffic in 2020, which is by 18.1 percent more than in the previous year. This was the highest percentage of bad bot traffic from 2014 through 2020, the report said.
"The share of good bots (search engine bots: GoogleBot, Bingbot, and others) decreased by 25.1 percent for the previous year and accounted for 13.1 percent of the entire traffic," the company’s report said.
The company's analysts stress that these figures show the big problem with bots in search engines.
The percentage of real users has been growing for the third year in a row.
