Net profit and revenue of the Apple company increased in the third fiscal quarter of 2021, a source in the company said, Trend reports.
According to the source, the net profit grew by 93 percent and revenue by 36 percent.
Net profit for the quarter which ended on June 26 exceeded $21.7 billion, which is $10 billion more than in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Earnings per share reportedly increased from 65 cents to $1.3, topping the average forecast. Apple's total revenue made up $81.43 billion, which is considered to be a record for the third financial quarter.
"The company posted revenue records in each of geographic segments and double-digit revenue growth in each of product categories. IPhone revenues were $39.57 billion, up 50 percent, and Macs were $8.24 billion (growth of 16 percent), service revenue (App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay and iCloud) increased 33 percent to a record $17.49 billion,” the source noted.
“Sales of iPad tablets brought Apple revenues of $7.37 billion (up 12 percent), wearable devices and accessories - $8.78 billion (up 36 percent)," added the source.
In the past quarter, Apple paid $29 billion in dividend payments and share repurchases to its shareholders, and the company's capitalization has grown by 10.6 percent since the beginning of 2021, amounting to almost $2.5 trillion.
