BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. Kazakhstan plans to complete a joint project with Azerbaijan on laying fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea within 18-24 months, Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Mussin said, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

Minister said that the Internet in Kazakhstan is expensive, and in many villages, it simply does not exist.

According to him, Internet traffic from Azerbaijan could solve these problems.

"We want to send a note this year without making changes to an international agreement. This is a strategic project, so it is under the personal control of the Kazakh president. We plan to implement this project within 18-24 months," Mussin added.
