BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2. This week it has been known that 7,000 customers of Azerbaijan’s PASHA Bank are using contactless Apple Pay payments, and the bank's non-cash turnover accounted for nearly 40 percent of its total activity, Trend reports.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that the country's PASHA Pay financial company [a subsidiary of the PASHA Holding group of companies] is the owner of the MilliOn payment terminal network brand.

It has also been reported that Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) has launched a money transfer service without using international payment systems on the technology platform of the VTB Settlement Center. Now one can make money transfers online in the national currency of Azerbaijan. The maximum monthly transfers amounted to $150,000, and this figure may be increased as the currency grip and recommendations of Azerbaijan's Central Bank are loosened.

In addition, it's scheduled to boost public Wi-Fi performance at the Baku Boulevard, the State Flag Square, and the Heydar Aliyev Center Park in Baku by suspending its access to a number of other parks and public places in Azerbaijan's capital.
