ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 20. Turkmenistan plans to launch a second national communications satellite to improve the quality of telecommunications services, Deputy Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Annaev said, Trend reports.
He expressed the country's intention to strengthen innovative and technological, transport and logistics infrastructure and integration of banking solutions.
Annaev noted that the country also plans to develop free economic zones and create industrial clusters to stimulate economic diversity, along with increasing investments in research and development projects.
In recent years, Turkmenistan has been actively developing the telecommunications sector, striving to increase the accessibility and quality of communications for its citizens. The country is introducing modern technologies and infrastructure, such as high-speed Internet, next-generation mobile communications and digital television.
