Рђzerbaijan participated in the sitting of the postal bodies heads of the member-states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OEC). At the event in Tehran the head of the business development department of the State Enterprise Azerpocht Ismail Ibragimov took part. Along with Azerbaijan, representatives from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and Kazakhstan took also part, Ibragimov told Trend.
According to him, the issues of cooperation between the postal agencies, establishment of the single base on electronic system of the OEC countries, on postal bodies, perspectives for freight traffic on postal services, the role of the private sector in postal services development , the progress achieved by the OEC countries in postal cooperation and etc.
The head of the business development department spoke at the event on the current situation in the postal sphere of Azerbaijan, particularly, on the perspectives of the project on the development of financial services of the World Bank, the basic component of which is modernization of the country’s postal communication and establishing of the new infrastructure for financial services to Azerbaijan’s postal enterprises
В"The next, third sitting of the postal bodies heads of the OEC countries will be held in Istanbul the next year”, Ibragimov stressed.
