Azerbaijan Will Attend Conference of International Telecommunication Union

Azerbaijan will participate in the conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Minister of Commutations and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov is expected to attend the conference scheduled from 6 to 24 November in Antalia (Turkey), Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Commutations and Information Technologies.

The conference held each four years will define the common policy, adopt four-year strategic and financial plan and elect the head of the Organization, members of the Council and the members of the Radio-Regulation Committee.

It is the key event, during which the ITU member-countries make a decision regarding the role of the Organization in the future and define its capacity to affect and assist the development of the information and telecommunications technologies all aver the world.

The members of Sectors (recognized exploitation organization, scientific and financial organizations, as well as financial institutions or development institutions and organizations of international character representing them) will also attend the conference in the person of observer.
