Telecommunication Ministry Considers a Project on Introducing E-Trade in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Telecommunication and Information Technologies (IT) Ministry is considering possibilities on installation of e-trade in the country, a source in the Ministry told Trend today.

Up to date, a working group to study and research different regions of the country has already been built up. The works are of a questionnaire nature, i.e. researching the level of the population's interest to the project, is the population interested in offering any of their goods or services for sale in a e-shop, as well as the level of the people's computer skills are studied.

Up to date, the works have been carried out in the northern regions Guba, Khachmaz, Davachi. The corresponding works will be carried out in al the regions. The working group is expected to visit the southern regions and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the near future, the source in the Ministry said.

The implementation period of the project is 6 months, two one of them have already passed. As result of the works, the project's results will be made public.

Concrete works will be launched as soon as we determine the degree of efficiency of the introduction of the project, the source said.
