Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.S. Babayeva / Production Association Baktelecom of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Informational Technologies has held a tender for Nехt Generation Network technologies-based construction, projecting and reconstruction of the telephone stations under 471/472/473, 474/475/476 and 423 indexes.
The total capacity of the stations makes up 90,000 telephone numbers. The tender participation fee is was 10.000 manats.
Five companies took part in the tender. The Tender Committe of Baktelecom began vieing the tender proposals on 11 April. The aforesaid work should be carried out within 3 months after the contract is signed.
Baktelecom intends to complete the reconstruction of the entire Baku telephone network within the first half of 2007.
