Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Meetings of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) on information and communications economy concluded its work in Baku on 13 April.
Rufat Gulmammadov, Head of the Information Society Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, and Rashad Nabiyev, Head of the Finances, Registration and Economic Analysis Department, represented Azerbaijan in the gathering.
The meeting on information discussed the implementation of an action plan of the CIS Strategy on Cooperation in this sphere, the implementation of projects on establishment f electron government, application of IT in development of education, experience in parks of information technologies in RCC countries.
The gathering dedicated to communications economy focused on exchange of experience, principles of formation of a post legislation and development of mail communications, experience in privatization of telecommunications companies and organization of mail communications.
Along with Azerbaijan, attending the gathering were delegates from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, as well as Moscow Scientific and Research Center ( Russia) and RCC Executive Committee.
