Azerbaijan's tourism potential to be promoted in Malaysia

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) will promote the tourism potential of Azerbaijan in Malaysia, the chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AZTA) Nahid Bagirov told Trend on Oct. 24.

A memorandum was signed between AZTA and MATTA.

Bagirov noted that, as a part of cooperation, it is planned to organize mutual press tours.

"AZTA, for its part, will promote Malaysia's tourism potential in Azerbaijan," he said.

Talking about the benefits of the signed memorandum, Bagirov mentioned that MATTA, which includes major travel companies, will distribute information, materials, articles about Azerbaijan among its members .

Bagirov added that, this year, a similar memorandum was also signed with India, and last year with Turkey and Russia.

Bagirov noted that AZTA plans to hold meetings with representatives of the tourism industries of Arab, Asian and European countries in 2019, as well as sign a number of memorandums of understanding.
