Wizz Air launches new flights from Georgia's Kutaisi

Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines and the leading low-cost carrier in Georgia, announced the start of two new routes from Kutaisi to Bologna and Cologne in November 2019 and July 2020, respectively, Trend reports citing Wizz Air website.

The airline has also announced the earlier start of the previously announced Kutaisi-Nice route and increased the frequency of the Kutaisi-Milan service. The new low fare routes are already on sale on wizzair.com starting as low as GEL 77.99/EUR 24.99.

Wizz Air started operations from Kutaisi International Airport in 2012 and after seven years of successful operations, the airline is proud to bring further expansion at its Georgian base by adding two new services starting, the report said.

Wizz Air will start its previously announced new service to Nice already on 12 December 2019 and will raise the frequency of the Kutaisi – Milan route to four services per week as of November 2019.

Together with the two new routes, WIZZ offers now 41 routes from Georgia to 19 countries.

Wizz Air, the pioneer of low-fare air travel across Europe and in Georgia, is continuously expanding its network by bringing affordable travel opportunities combined with great on board experience between Kutaisi and the rest of Europe. The two new routes will bring an additional 94,000 seat capacity to the airline’s Georgian network, totaling over 1.5 million seats on sale in 2020. WIZZ’s fast-growing operation in the country will further stimulate the local economy, by increasing employment in Georgia’s aviation and tourism sectors and supporting more than 1,000 jobs in the associated industries in 2020, the company said.
