About five million foreign tourists visited Iran from March 21 through September 22 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization Ali Asghar Mounesan told reporters.
“The number of foreign tourists is expected to reach 10 million till the end of the year (March 21, 2020),” Mounesan added, Trend reports referring to Mehr.
“Despite some problems, this number of incoming tourists is a positive figure for Iran,” the minister said.
Commenting on the recent visit to Oman, the Iranian minister said that the new tourist facilities in northern Iran were offered to Oman and a lot of Omani tourists are expected to visit Iran in the future.
"Moreover, the tours between Iran and Oman will be organized," the minister said.
