Uzbekistan, Belarus sign co-op agreement in tourism sector

State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation in tourism sector, Trend reports referring to State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development.

The document was signed by Deputy State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Ulugbek Azamov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Alexander Guryanov during the VIII meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation.

The parties agreed to cooperate in promoting tourism products, exchanging information and experience in the field of tourism, organizing info-tours, training personnel, supporting various types of tourism, including health, ecological, gastronomic, mountain, cultural, archaeological and agritourism.

It was noted that cooperation in the field of tourism between Uzbekistan and Belarus is also actively developing within the framework of multilateral formats, such as the CIS Tourism Council.

“The signing of this interdepartmental agreement will give a new impetus to bilateral relations between our countries and strengthen the legal framework in the field of tourism,” the message said.

Earlier an agreement between Uzbekistan and Belarus on interregional cooperation entered into force. It was noted that the document would promote the expansion and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of the two states in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

According to the information, the agreement contributes to the expansion and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of the two states in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, in the fields of agriculture, health care and environmental protection.
