Volume of cargo transported via Kazakhstan Temir Zholy’s railway system (Kazakhstan Railways) amounted to 22.3 million tons in November 2019, which is 3.8 percent more than in the same month of 2018, Trend reports with reference to the company.
In turn, the operational turnover amounted to 20.6 billion net ton-kilometers, which is 6.8 percent more than last year.
Furthermore, volume of transported coal amounted to 9.6 million tons in November, which is 6.4 percent more than last month.
Volume of transported grain amounted to 1.1 million tons, volume of grinding products transport to 300,000 tons, construction materials to 1.5 million tons.
Furthermore, the operational turnover during 11 months of 2019 increased by 1.6 percent and amounted to 206 billion tons.
Cargo transported during 11 months of 2019 amounted to 233 million tons, including 93,000 tons of coal, 9.4 million tons of grain (increase of 13 percent), 2.4 million tons of grinding products (2 percent increase), and over 19 million tons of construction materials.
