The Chabahar-Zahedan railway, the most important railroad in the north-south corridor of the country, which is a part of the Belt and Road Initiative, is one of the major projects for Khatam Al-Anbiya Construction headquarters, said the commander of the headquarters.

“The Chabahar-Zahedan railway project will be completed by June 2021, but until then we need $71.5 million per month,” said Saeed Mohammadi, commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, an Iranian engineering firm under the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

Mohammadi added that the headquarters also has invested in most freeway projects.

“The share of the headquarters in construction of southern passage of Tehran Freeway is 70 percent, and the government share 30 percent,” the commander said.

"We have also invested in the Arak-Boroujerd-Khorramabad and Maragheh-Hashtrood freeways,” said Mohammadi adding that the southern passage of Tehran freeway and Boroujerd-Khorramabad freeway will open in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).

He noted the government' debt to the headquarters for construction projects and said that it amounts to about $9.5 billion.
