Iran reveals volume of loaded, unloaded cargo at Hormozgan Province's small ports

A total of 53,500 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Jask, Chark, Tiab ports of Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020) Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

While in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), 41,900 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded at this port, the report added.

According to the report, about 15,100 tons of essential products were loaded for export at Jask port in the sixth month.

“During the reporting month, 37,500 tons of goods were loaded at the Chark port. About 9,730 tons of goods were exported through this port. As well as, 27,800 tons of goods were loaded for cabotage in the Chark port,” the report said.

About 25,700 tons metal products and 11,700 tons of other goods were loaded at Chark port over the 6th month.

“In addition, 907 tons of essential products were loaded for export at Tiab port in the same period,” the report noted.

In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
