Kazakhstan’s Air Astana increasing number of flights to Moscow

Kazakhstan’s Air Astana airline company is increasing the number of weekly flights operated to Russian Moscow, Trend reports citing the company.

The airline said that the flights from Nur-Sultan to Domodedovo in Moscow will now be operated two times a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. Starting Feb. 5, 2021, the company will also resume the implementation of a direct flight on the Almaty-Moscow route.

The flights will be carried out via Boeing 767 planes. Entry to Russia is allowed only to citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as to persons who have a residence permit in Russia.

All foreign citizens arriving in Russia (including citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and having a residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Russian Federation) must fill out a questionnaire and have with them a PCR test certificate with a negative result, received no earlier than three days before the flight. Citizens of Russia are also required to fill out a form on the portal of public services before departure, and within three days from the date of arrival in Russia, they must pass a PCR test and submit the test result.

Transit passengers arriving in Russia will face no restrictions but will be subject to the requirements of the country of destination. PCR test for transit passengers is mandatory, validity period as indicated above, the maximum stay in the transit area is 24 hours. Children must also take the test, without exception.
