Machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semitrailers worth 134.2 million manat were produced in Azerbaijan from January through June 2021, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The production of machinery and equipment from January through June 2021 increased by 48.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
The production of tractors increased by 2.8 times, while the production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers decreased by 47.1 percent.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 795 passenger cars were produced in Azerbaijan from January through June 2021 compared to 873 passenger cars in the same period of last year.
Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 2.1 percent from January through June 2021 compared to the same period of last year. The Ministry of Economy predicts growth of Azerbaijan's GDP in 2021 at the level of 3.4 percent.
