The value of air cargo transportation in Azerbaijan amounted to $771 million from January through July 2021, which is almost 3.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In the reporting period, air cargo transportation exceeded 24,125 tons, which is 89.3 percent less compared to the same period of 2020, said the report.
As reported, the volume of export cargo transportation by air exceeded 18,998 tons, and in value terms - $150.3 million (an increase of 7.2 percent over the year).
Imports by air during the reporting period amounted to 5,127 tons (a decrease of 21 percent), and in value terms - $620.6 million (an increase of 21.78 percent).
From January through July 2021, Azerbaijan's trade turnover exceeded $17.6 billion, including exports - $11.3 billion, imports - $6.29 billion.
