Iran outlines activities in its Bandar Lengeh port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by about 27 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (June 23 through August 22, 2021), compared to the 4th month (June 22 through July 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 132,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 5th month. So, 103,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 29,000 tons were unloaded.

About 101,000 tons of cargo were exported and 6,350 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the fifth month.

“Furthermore, 22,800 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit. Also, 1,550 tons of cargo were loaded and 20 tons were unloaded for cabotage during the reporting month,” the statistics said.

So, 71,800 tons of essential products, 13 tons of metal products, 35,200 tons construction and mining materials, 22,800 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 527 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 1,370 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 44 tons of small and assorted products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fifth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.29 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
