Cargo movements in Iran’s Bushehr port soar

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 0.9 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month of (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 323,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 173,000 tons were loaded and 150,000 tons were unloaded.

During the sixth month, 170,000 tons of cargo were exported and 59,900 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 1,960 tons of cargo were loaded, and 90,300 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage in the 6th month.

Also, 1,670 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 17,200 tons of essential products, 200 tons of metal products, 137,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,700 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 8 tons of chemicals, 3,680 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 40,000 tons of container products, 124,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
