Turkey reveals volume of transshipment of goods from Netherlands by local ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The ports of Turkey handled 1.08 million tons of cargo from the Netherlands from January through February 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 6,143 tons of cargo from the Netherlands to local ports and ships flying the flags of other countries – 1.03 million tons.

Ships under the flag of the Netherlands delivered 46,978 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.

Turkish ports handled 14,861 tons of transit cargo from the Netherlands from January through February 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 28.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6.2 million tons of transit cargo in February.

Turkish ports handled 64.4 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 4.6 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 59.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 13.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.
