BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 3.31 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 109,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 12th month. Of this figure, 30,000 tons were loaded and 79,000 tons were unloaded.
In addition, 27,000 tons of cargo were exported and 78,600 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.
Also, 2,480 tons of cargo were loaded and 464 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 295 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the 12th month, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, 66,300 tons of essential products, 1,390 tons of metal products, 8,340 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,220 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 12th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 8,400 tons of chemicals, 16,000 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 464 tons of small and assorted goods, 5,170 tons of container products, and 1,530 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month preceding the Iranian year.
