BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 3.4 percent, in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

In total, about 13,900 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port for the 2nd month. About 4,670 tons of cargo were loaded and 9,180 tons were unloaded.

Also, 2,440 tons of cargo were exported and 71 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month.

Within the 2nd month, 2,200 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,060 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

In addition, 521 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment, as well as 19 tons were loaded, while 6,530 tons were unloaded for other purposes over the 2nd month.

Thus, 2,440 tons of construction and mining materials, about 10,900 tons of small and assorted products and 521 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.

In general, more than 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.47 million tons were loaded and 7.12 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 17.5 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
