BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) decreased by 12 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 307,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 3rd month. Of this, 1,710 tons were loaded and over 305,000 tons were unloaded.

Also, about 155,000 tons of cargo were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.

Furthermore, 694 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit in the 3rd month.

According to the statistics, about 150,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for cabotage, as well as 1,710 tons were loaded and 95 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the 3rd month.

About 141,000 tons of essential products, 4 tons of metal products, 1,960 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 210 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 66 tons of small and assorted products, 14,500 tons of container products and about 150,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.8 million tons were loaded and 6.8 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
