BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 42.6 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 86,400 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 3rd month. Of this figure, 29,900 tons were loaded and 56,500 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 25,200 tons of cargo were exported and 54,600 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 4,710 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,680 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 228 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the 3rd month.

According to the statistics, 32,600 tons of essential products, 4,130 tons of metal products, 12,500 tons of construction and mining materials, 918 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 5,830 tons of chemicals, 21,700 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 8,480 tons of container products, and 101 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.8 million tons were loaded and 6.8 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
