BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 42.4 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 646,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, about 320,000 tons were loaded and about 326,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 50,600 tons of cargo were exported and 4,640 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 3rd month.

Over the 3rd month, 269,000 tons of cargo were loaded and about 322,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 190 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 605 tons of essential products, 10 tons of metal products, 174 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 54 tons of chemicals, 169 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, about 539,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 826 tons of container products, and 105,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.8 million tons were loaded and 6.8 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
