BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 1.4 percent, in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, 6.13 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 4th month. Of this, about 3.04 million tons were loaded and 3.09 million tons were unloaded.
In addition, 2.53 million tons of cargo were exported, while 1.05 million tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the 4th month.
Also, about 156,000 tons of cargo were loaded and about 403,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit during the reporting month.
According to the statistics, 197,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.43 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the 4th month.
In the 4th month, about 151,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 147,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 1,640 tons of cargo were loaded, and 55,000 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Some 334,000 tons of essential products, about 317,000 tons of metal products, 920,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,820 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 65,300 tons of chemicals, 10,200 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 8,200 tons of small and assorted products, over 1.95 million tons of container products, and about 2.52 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
In general, about 12.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 4th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.14 million tons were loaded and 6.19 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
