BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 2.6 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 304,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 129,000 tons were loaded and about 175,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 5th month, 128,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 50,100 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 128 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for transit, as well as about 125,000 tons of cargo were unloaded for cabotage in the 5th month.

Also, 432 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, about 11,800 tons of essential products, 597 tons of metal products, over 99,400 tons of construction and mining materials, and 4,000 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 51 tons of chemicals, 2,900 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, about 34,200 tons of container products, and about 151,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 5th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.4 million tons were loaded and about 6.1 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
