Cargo operations at Iran’s Anzali port down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 2.3 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 117,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 9th month. Of this figure, 36,000 tons were loaded and 80,900 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 29,800 tons of cargo were exported and about 78,300 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 6,170 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,340 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 316 tons of cargo unloaded for other purposes in the 9th month.

Some 60,800 tons of essential products, 7,180 tons of metal products, 8,390 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,060 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, about 14,800 tons of chemicals, 13,300 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, about 11,200 tons of container products, and 156 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, approximately 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.6 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
