President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev made a survey of the artificial forestry around Astana, Kazinform reported.
"We virtually created a wooded land", the Head of State said.
President noted that it was necessary to take care of wildlife around Astana.
Planting the forestry around Astana was launched after shifting of the capital in 1997 on the instruction of President Nazarbayev.
The trees that had been planted 10 years ago became quite high, the President said. Besides, there are a lot of berries and mushrooms there.
"Now we have to take care of wildlife in this forestry", he said. "We need wildlife thriving in here".
