Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbaev to strengthen measures for law and order ensuring in the country, the presidential press service reported on Wednesday.
"The President ordered to continue work on law and order ensuring, as well as strengthen the protection of citizens' and representatives' of small and medium business rights, and interests of the state and society," the report said.
Nazarbayev received Daulbaev on Wednesday.
"The Prosecutor General informed the President about the state of law and order in the country, the investigation of actual criminal cases on terrorism, extremism, corruption and embezzlement of budget funds," the report said.
Daulbaev reported about ongoing work to ensure objective legal statistics, protection of social rights and state interests in the field of foreign economic activities.
"The criminal situation in the country remains stable, a decrease in the number of grave and especially grave crimes is observed," Daulbaev said.
