Kazakhstan will increase fee for landline phone service by 20 percent from May 1, 2012, Kazakhtelecom company reported.

Thus, physical entities in urban areas will pay 748.80 tenge (excluding VAT) for one landline phone not transferred to time payment compared to previous 624.00 tenge ($1=147,64 tenge). Physical entities in rural areas will pay 497.16 tenge (excluding VAT) compared to the previous 414.30 tenge. Meanwhile for one landline phone transferred to time payment physical entities will pay 371.28 tenge (excluding VAT) compared to 309.40 tenge earlier.

The landline phone service tariffs for such landline phone subscribers as notaries dealing with private practice, lawyers and entrepreneurs will also increase by 20 percent.
Thus, the monthly fee for one landline phone, not transferred to time payment will increase from 746.61 tenge to 895.93 tenge (excluding VAT) for them. Meanwhile, the monthly fee for one landline phone transferred to time payment will increase from 597.29 tenge to 716.75 tenge (excluding VAT).

Landline phone service will remain at the current level for legal entities and for phones connected to the coupled scheme in urban and rural areas.

Moreover, tariffs for landline phone transferred to time payment will remain at the current level for inter-city communications and intra-city communications.
