Kazakhstan is actively preparing for its first military parade, which will take place on May 7 on Defenders of the Fatherland Day, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan announced on Wednesday.

"An operative group of the Ministry of Defense for the preparation for the military parade left Astana for the 40th military base 'Otar'," the Ministry said.

The operative group led by the deputy chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Mukan Dyusekeev includes representatives of various departments of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

The tasks of the group include coordination of all the issues on the preparation for the military parade.

At present, military equipment and personnel of military units are being concentrated in the area of the military base. 7 thousand servicemen, more than 400 units of armored vehicles and automotive equipment, more than 86 aircraft and helicopters will take part at the parade.

Army units will show their skills in tactics and practical application of modern weapons and equipment, by which ground forces and air defense forces are now equipped.

Two trains arrived at the 40th military base 'Otar' on Tuesday: with a tank and a motorized infantry division. A marine battalion of s from Aktau and an intelligence unit of 'West' Regional Command are arriving in Otar on Thursday.

Representatives of the material and technical supply of the air unit "have arrived in "Otar with all necessary equipment. Army aviation pilots laid a separate camp that will be set up for pilots where they can live, prepare for flights and carry out their analysis after the trainings.
