The Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan said it is going to introduce international standards of airline service quality in the country.

"Simplicity and convenience of flight connections, easy orientation of passengers in airports are among the main criteria," said the ministry.

The standards also envisage the operation of catering companies in airports, rendering information services for passengers, ensuring the access of passengers to the mobile communication and wireless Internet in all restricted areas of airports.

In total, the transportations to and from Kazakhstan are carried out on 87 routes, of which 52 account for CIS countries, nine routes - the EU countries, 11- south-eastern countries and 15 routes - Middle Eastern countries.

Two Kazakh airlines carry out international transportations on 57 routes, while 28 foreign airlines - on 54 routes.

Seven new routes were opened in 2014: from Astana to Kazan, Seoul , Paris , Tbilisi , from Atyrau to the Mineralnye Vody, from Kyzylorda to Moscow and from Almaty to Minsk .
Moreover, 13 international routes were opened in 2014.
