Kazakhstan reveals prices for paid services

Head of the Real sector monitoring of the Monetary policy department of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Osipov talked about the prices for paid services in the regional context, Trend reports citing the National Bank.

“Prices for paid services increased by 6.8 percent in January (in December - 6.5 percent). Prices rose significantly higher than the national level in West Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan regions (8.2 percent each), significantly lower - in Akmola region (5.3 percent),” said Osipov.

According to him, the monthly inflation in the country amounted to 0.7 percent, which exceeded the average value of January prices over the past 5 years (0.6 percent for 2017-2021).

“Above their average historical rate, costs increased in January 2022 in Almaty (1.0 percent), Aktobe (0.9 percent), Karaganda (0.9 percent) regions, the Shymkent city (0.9 percent), Akmola (0. 8 percent), West Kazakhstan (0.7 percent), and North Kazakhstan (0.6 percent) regions,” said the representative of the National Bank.

“In Mangistau, Atyrau, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions, the price growth rates remained at the average historical level. In other regions, the monthly rates of price growth were lower than their historical average,” Osipov stated.
