The Russian State Space Corporation (Roscosmos) has canceled all launches of Russian rockets in the interests of OneWeb from all spaceports, Trend reports with reference to Roscosmos.
According to Roscosmos, the cancellation includes the launch of the Soyuz 2.1b rocket with the Fregat upper stage and 36 One Web satellites, which were already at the launch site, scheduled for the night of March 5, 2022.
"Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation, instructed to stop all launches of Russian rockets in the interests of OneWeb from all spaceports, due to the lack of a guarantee from OneWeb that the satellites of the system will not be used for military purposes," the press service of Roscosmos said.
According to the press service, a live broadcast from the Baikonur Cosmodrome of the process of removing the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with OneWeb spacecraft from the launch complex of site No. 31 and its transportation to the assembly and test building will be shown on the Roscosmos website.
