BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The Single Electricity Purchaser model won’t be implemented in Kazakhstan, First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar said commenting on an MP’s request, Trend reports via the government.

"In accordance with the National Project for the Development of Entrepreneurship for 2021-2025, it’s planned to gradually reduce variance and abolish differentiation of tariffs between consumer groups for electricity services, which can also significantly affect the tariffs for electricity, primarily for the population," Sklyar noted.

In this regard, the Ministry of National Economy is comprehensively considering the issue of a possible gradual reduction of the variance between differentiated tariffs for the population, taking into account the specifics of all regions of the country and their economic situation.

According to Sklyar, the introduction of the Single Purchaser model is a modern solution, but it requires considerable workout and detailed comprehensive study, taking into account the interests of the population and business. For this reason, the deputy prime minister said that it’s premature to urgently implement the Single Purchaser model.
