"Turkey is one of the most important and reliable partners on the Eurasian continent for Kazakhstan. Relations between our countries and peoples, based on common history and spiritual heritage, continue to develop and reach the level of strategic partnership," Tokayev said.
According to him, Turkey is one of the five leading trade partners of Kazakhstan.
The trade turnover between the two countries is growing every year, the head of state noted.
"It exceeded $5 billion in 2021. Without slowing down these rates, we must bring it to $10 billion. Turkey is also one of our 10 largest investors. These investors invested over $4 billion in the Kazakhstan’s economy. Kazakhstan has invested more than $1 billion in the Turkish economy. A total of 16 investment projects have been implemented in Kazakhstan over the past two years," Tokayev said.
According to the president, Kazakhstan has great potential for the development of such areas as the "green" economy, IT technologies, space activities, and industrial production.
"I invite you to collaborate in these areas. We are ready to support all the initiatives of Turkish investors and create favorable conditions for them," Tokayev said.
