BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 5. Kazakh-Russian cooperation has potential in sectors of oil and gas machinery building, containerization, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantirov said during Russian-Kazakh industrial dialogue within the ‘Innopom-2022’ exhibition, Trend reports citing Russian media.

"Currently, nine joint projects with a total of $3 billion are being implemented, which will create about 4,000 permanent jobs. Among them we can mention large projects on production of tires together with Russian ‘Tatneft’ company, woven geotextiles together with the Russian partner ‘Ultrastat’, manufacture of ‘AvtoVAZ’ cars and other projects," Kuantirov said.

According to him, total number of joint Russian-Kazakh enterprises in manufacturing industry increased by 5 percent (to 366) in 2022.

"Some 13 large projects totaling $440 million have already been organized within the framework of Kazakh-Russian cooperation, which has created more than 3,500 jobs. Among these projects, it is important to mention such as production of trucks together with ‘KAMAZ’, production of electric locomotives together with ‘Transmash Holding’, tractors with Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC and other projects," he added.
