BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. Kazakhstan does not plan to restrict the import of cars from abroad, Trend reports via press service of the government.

Cases of importing foreign vehicles into Kazakhstan in violation of the law have become more frequent, recently. In particular, facts of exploitation of cars that are stolen or pledged, equipped with false vehicle registration plates, and so on, have been revealed.

It was established that more than 35,000 cars imported into Kazakhstan had banking and legal restrictions, according to the results of reconciliation with law enforcement agencies of other countries last year.

Over 600 cars at the time of importation were wanted by law enforcement agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.

In this regard, the development of rules for the import of vehicles (including temporary ones) is being developed, in order to eliminate the risks of emergence of vehicles in violation of the law in Kazakhstan and improve administration in general.

These measures will provide mechanisms for strengthening control in terms of illegal vehicles, up to restricting their import into the country.

At the same time, these measures will not affect cars registered in foreign countries, imported and operated on territory of Kazakhstan without violating the law.
